With the hustle and bustle of fall approaching, it can seem like those relaxing summer days are ending. But just because the temperature is dropping a little doesn’t mean that life balance should drop too! Here are some tips to keep your life balance in check as autumn nears:
Schedule downtime!
Make a habit of scheduling time with friends and family into your calendar. Sometimes we get so busy that actually planning ahead for some downtime can be a nice treat during a hectic workweek!
Don’t be afraid to cut out things you don’t enjoy!
If you’re doing something you don’t enjoy, why do it? In these next few months try an activity that YOU enjoy!
Keep moving!
During the summer it can be easier to get in our physical activity, but just because it’s cooler now doesn’t mean you should stop. Mall walking, stairs, and a gym membership are all great indoor options to keep up with physical activity in the fall and winter.
Relax!
Have a few minutes in the morning or some time on the commute home? Try some stress management techniques like deep breathing. Practicing deep breathing a few times a week can make all the difference in a stressful situation.
